Weekend fun
What a weekend!
It starts off with a hike through Great Falls for my close personal friend Dave's birthday. I've never been to Great Falls before but I gotta say, I am going to be going back. The camera phone does it no justice!
After our jaunt through the woods, we headed over to Famous Dave's and had some BBQ. There was much rejoicing.
On Sunday I was able to watch the Broncos game. The final score came out to 49-21 Broncos but it was a whole lot closer. The Broncos took a 28-0 lead early but then the Eagles came back 28-21. They were on the Broncos 24 yard line and McNabb fires a shot into the endzone. Interception. Momentum swung back to the Broncos and they never looked back. They got lucky though. Sitting in the flat all by himself was Lamont Jordan. Would have had the first down and they probably would have tied the game.
Kudos to Foxworth who had the pick, but bigger kudos to Champ Bailey. Champ reinjured the hammy and rather than stay in the game and possibly cause problems he took himself out.
Fantasy football wise, I got hosed because Tory Holt was inactive. In 2 league's I've definitely lost. 1 I've won. 1 it all comes down to MNF. He has Willie Parker, I have Chester Taylor. I'm hoping the Bus takes all the carries. I'm going into the game with a .3 point lead.
I leave with a Best Headline
PS: I win!

Thoughts:
Hurricanes - Another month another big storm plowing through the south. I feel bad for the people down there. Makes me glad I don't live down there anymore though. Highlight is definitly Al Roker standing outside with the 130 MPH wind. He's got a stage hand holding on to his leg so he doesn't fly away.
Broncos - I give props to the Giants for pulling out the win. The Denver D at the end of a game just isn't getting it done. Although there is one play out of the highlights that I have a problem with. Deep pass to Plaxico. A Denver end is rushing Eli. The tackle is behind the end holding on to the guy's shoulder pads for Eli's life. How is that not a holding call? Everyday..
Bighams - Brent & Kelli have made the formal announcement of their new daughter's name. Shout out to Rachel Joyce Bigham. You'll be fine kid..just don't play with daddy's transformers/action figures/toy cars. Except if it's in the box. That means it wants to come out and play. :-)
Dave Roland - This weekend we are celebrating Dave's birthday by going camping. Been a loooong time since I've been camping and even then it wasn't in the woods. Low of 33 in Front Royal Friday night. Anyone know if Under Armour is supposed to keep you warm as well as cool? It's going to be a lot of fun though. I'm looking forward to the time with the bears and the hike on Sat.
This image is really cool. Follow the pink dots and they disappear. Focus in the middle and the missing dot turns green. Focus harder and the pink dots disappear and it's just a green dot that goes around. I don't know why the eyes do that but it's awesome.

Latest update
Most of the board is filled, I just need a key piece to finish the property.
Boardwalk
Pennsylvania Ave
Vetnor Ave
Kentucky
Mediterranean Ave
I have no Orange or Purple and I have 2 out of 4 railroads.
This update is mainly just for Sammie.
I'm off the McOpoly kick..I think
The only downside to this plan is that instead of eating a greasy unhealthy burger, you end up eating a greasy unhealthy chicken sandwich. The wheat bread is a nice touch, but really who are we fooling?
They say that 1 out of 3 best buy bucks are worth 3 dollars. Well, I must happen to have the worst luck in the world as I got 2 $1 best buy bucks.
Another thing I noticied, which is why I think I'm off the kick, is that if you collect all the pieces to a property, you have a chance of winning that prize. So after you purchase all that food to collect the properties you still have to enter a drawing. It's just not worth it. Starting tomorrow, I'm back on Chinese Buffets.
As if my blog wasn't cluttered enough

Oh, you can't help it. That's just what you believe.
The nugget is: You can't choose your beliefs.
This statement can be proven with a simple test. Take something you believe and then choose to believe opposite. So I believe that my friend Cris is in California. I can say that Cris is in Virginia but I can't believe it.
Try it out and let me know if you can choose to believe something else. How does this impact us? Will it allow us to work better with "unbelievers" because they can't choose to believe?
It's late..my head hurts.
Darn you McDonalds
I feel my heart congesting already.

Should the Supreme Court Hear This??
Green Bay, Wisconsin(AP) - A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a Green Bay,WI. courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of
him.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the best degree possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her.
When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him.
After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.
After two recesses to check legal references and confer with ch!ld welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Green Bay Packers, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.
